Translational Research Skills Training portal
In addition to the modules from the original innovator training scheme, the portal features additional training modules on research impact, medical devices, software as medical devices as well ad drug discovery and development. Some of the training is delivered by external consultants specifically hired by the Translation Manchester team.
The content of the training portal is continuously updated with new materials/modules. Live training opportunities are also promoted via the portal.
How to access the portal?
Step 1: Create a Lifelong Learning Account
Head to https://manchester.ac.uk/lifelonglearning and create an account. You can use any email address, you do not need to be staff or student at the University of Manchester to access the portal. If you are University of Manchester staff or student, but do not have an account on the Lifelong Learning portal, you will need to create one.
Step 2: Login to Lifelong Learning
Once you have created the Lifelong Learning Portal you can visit the portal again and enrol into any courses offered, including the Translational Research Skills Training. Head to https://manchester.ac.uk/lifelonglearning and login using the credential chosen during the registration step.
Step 3: Search course catalogue
Type “Translational” in the search box and the Translational Research Skills course should appear as in the screenshot below:
Step 4: Enrol
Press Enrol Now to enrol in the course.
Step 5: Enjoy the course content!
There are several modules already available and more coming soon. You can take any of the modules at any time and you only need to take the modules you feel might be relevant to you.
