Translational Research at Manchester 2023 – Early Career Researcher Event

KICKSTART YOUR TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH CAREER

We are pleased to announce that our annual event this year will take place on the 13th of September 2023 at the Core Technology Facility 46 Grafton Street Manchester M13 9WU.

This year the focus of the event will be on early career researchers. The aim of the event is to help promote a translational research culture amongst our up and coming researchers, and introduce some new people to translational research.

The event will include an ECR poster competition and a series of lightning talks, based on submitted abstracts, an opening and a closing keynote, and workshops designed specifically to help ECRs translate their research. We are also launching a call for an ECR Conference Support Grant- winners will be announced at the conference. Details about poster presentations and the conference support grant call are provided below.

Call for Posters

As part of the Translational Research at Manchester 2023 event we will be hosting a poster competition for early career researchers. The deadline to submit your abstract is Friday 14th July 2023. Find out more information here.

ECR Conference Support Grant

We are also excited to announce that this year we are offering ECRs who attend this event an opportunity to apply to our ‘Translation Manchester ECR Conference Support Grant’ . To be eligible for the Support grant, ECRs must attend the Translation Manchester ECR event 2023 event and submit an abstract to present a poster or talk on the translational research they are working on at this event. The deadline to apply for this funding is 31st July 2023.
